I’ve been having a bit of thing for succulents and cactus recently, and although a Yukka is neither (!) it reminded of this photo I took a couple of years ago. Pretty.

This video by identity designer Adam Ladd is amazing. He asked his 5 year old what she thought about the logos he showed her.

Have you ever looked at the Olympic logo as though it were a baby’s toy? Now you will.

Oh! The crazy illustrations and gorgeous colours of Shine Shine fabrics are bea-ut-i-ful.

Shine Shine graphics are designed by Heidi Chisholm, a South African who now lives in Brooklyn. Check out stores like Heartworks and African Image in Cape Town for their products.

“Life is messy. Simplify with Clear.”

I’ve just been reading about a new To Do app called Clear. Don’t get me wrong, I love Teux Deux (the nifty little swissmiss To Do app) and use it on my computer all the time, but I never got around to sorting it out on my (very old and very slow) iPhone.

Clear looks even more simple than Teux Deux, and although some people are saying this app is before it’s time as it breaks a lot of current interface rules with no labels, icons or menus, for me it would be perfect. Just a bit long list in bright blocks of colour.

Part of Penguin’s Graphic Classics series, where every classic re-edited is paired with an artist to produce collectable works, the cover of this new edition Kama Sutra has been illustrated by vector queen Malika Favre.

A playful, bold alphabet makes up the words Kama Sutra, while the colours are a nod to the books Indian origins. With original text by Vātsyāyana and no pictures inside, I think in this case you can definitely judge a book by it’s cover. Sexy.
