R.I.P. Corinne Day

After a weekend away with no phones or computers I was so sad to read this morning that Corinne Day passed away last Friday.

I was about 12 years old when I first discovered something called fashion, and that there was a world where all the beautiful girls had their photos taken by cool photographers and looked wild and pretty and exciting. I loved it and it was all because of Corinne Day. She was always my favourite photographer and because of her I fell in love with Kate Moss and London and Vogue.

Her photography has influenced, inspired and launched a thousand careers and she’ll always be remembered through her beautiful, grungy fashion photographs.
