Ikea is one of my favourite shops in the whole world. I’m not ashamed to admit it and Si teases me about it all the time. When we moved to Cape Town and I realised we weren’t going to be able to stock the flat with things that had names like skårpt, klunsa and ribba I was sad!
However, to make up for my lack of Ikea over the last 2 years, I decided I’ll just have to buy their new cookbook Hembakat är Bäst (Homemade is Best). How awesome does it look!
Produced by ad agency Forsman & Bodenfors, photographed by Carl Kleiner and styled by Evelina Bratell, the beautiful images make me want to eat everything – including the ingredients before they’ve been cooked! Minimal cooking. I like.

I’m a Le Cresuet girl myself, but these Bialetti Pasta Pots are pretty awesome too. The colours are great and I especially love the built in strainer.

Woohoo! I’m so excited to have just been delivered a little present from Yuppiechef for taking part in the Enkosi Cookathon last month!
Not only are they super sweet for sending a box of such cool things (a shiny Scanpan knife, cute JosephJoseph magnetic measuring spoon, a certificate, magnet and a R250 gift voucher!) their packaging and branding is awesome – the graphic designer in me is happy!
The box was put together so nicely and with such cool attention to detail that I had to share it. Thank you Yuppiechef for making my day!
Toffie Food Festival

Just found out the Toffie Food Festival is on from the 3rd-4th September at the Cape Town City Hall.
It looks awesome and there’s going to be a talk by Julie Powell from the film Julie and Julia! Too bad we’ll be away – I really wish I could go.
Loving the poster too. It would go perfectly with my other 2 Toffie exhibition prints…
