Design Milk article Defining The Designer was an interesting read this morning. I find it fascinating looking at other people’s creative workspaces.

For more inspired creative spaces take a look at Cape Town’s We-Are-Awesome blog that has a section called Spaces.

Sixty Years of Memories

60 years memories nothing but bonfires Sixty Years of Memories

I love this project by Nothing but Bonfires. For her dad’s 60th birthday she asked all his family, friends and loved ones to write down a memory they had of him and collected 60 of them together.

I hope someday somebody makes something like this for me.

You Look Like The Right Type

you look like the right type You Look Like The Right Type

Every day Mark Addison Smith writes down pieces of conversations he hears and then illustrates them. He’s been doing it every day for the last two and a half years and posting them on his blog YouLookLikeTheRightType.com. Amazing.

I wonder what happens when he goes on holiday?

I just found a set of To Do lists over at Mrs. Easton and I don’t really know what else to say except wow! They were made by her brother and there’s loads of them. I think they look like pieces of art.

Here’s a screenshot of my Teux Deux app by Swissmiss as a comparison. Hmmm…maybe I need to go back to the old school. It seems a whole lot more fun, don’t you think? (although I love Teux Deux and it’s super pretty as well…)

This cute illustration by Yasmine Surovec is exactly how my brain feels after a day of builders drilling on my roof and then having to mop up water dripping through my lights, caused by the holes they’re drilling up there. Yuk!

Check out more on her blog A Print A Day.

I’ve just spent the better part of the last hour looking through the awesome blog Mini-eco.

It’s packed with super cool craft projects for kids (& adults) and is so colourful and fun I just want to ditch work to go home and get crafty! Be sure to check out these amazing garden bird feeders

How to steal like an artist (and 9 other things nobody told me)

18th May 2011

how to steal like an artist and 9 other things nobody told me austin kleon How to steal like an artist (and 9 other things nobody told me)

This article is based on a talk made by Texas writer and artist, Austin Kleon about 10 things he wish he’d heard while in college.

How to steal like an artist (and 9 other things nobody told me) is enlightening in the way that it reinforces the fact that we know this stuff already. It’s common sense. It reminds us of the important things to remember when working creatively, because it’s easy to get a little lost occasionally.

Oh.My.Gosh.

How cute is Emersonmade? I want every pair of jean she’s designed, especially the BlueBell ones and I found this UnGloomBloom on her blog. Too cool.

This made me happy on a Friday afternoon.

Clouds 365

13th October 2010

I haven’t posted anything in a while, partly because I’ve been busy and partly because I’ve been uninspired. This amazing site caught my eye though and so here you go…

Cloud 365 is a website & blog that’s updated daily with a new photo or video of a cloud. When the skies are clear or the day is grey, multi-media artist Kelly DeLay gets all creative to bring us a cloud. Super cool.
